I wanted to post some pictures of the oldest area of Stuttgart! Very close winding streets, with trees trying to bud out into spring, but it is a bit early yet here. After teaching yesterday at Nadel und Faden, we walked through the area to look at the old buildings! There are also sculptures and carvings and I wish I had more time to take it all in! A little bit of spring!

On Tuesday, Aby and I went to visit downtown Stuttgart….including a little walk about through the market place….we barely made it in time, as this was the cold cold day, and the market was folding up by 1pm… But there was a little bit of hope for spring everywhere….especially in the array of potted and blooming bulbs that were on display! Erster Tag in Stuttgart

Virginia Bound Workshop in Denton, TX!

And when you walk in, you are greeted by a wonderful museum of collected artifacts going back into the 1800s……interesting items to look at, newspaper articles to read about earlier fires, and sadly the memorials of those firefighters

Oklahoma Backroads with Trinity Valley!

One of the things I don’t MISS about Texas? THE TRAFFIC!! Bear Creek Quilt Guild Fun!

Today was the Cathedral Stars Workshop with the Bear Creek Quilt Guild in Keller, TX! We met in an annex building to the church where the guild holds it’s guild meetings, a place called Hallelujah House. The house has several large rooms that have been used for meeting areas and class rooms and we filled 3 of the rooms and put them to good use! My pictures left a LOT to be desired today…I

I received several emails and facebook friend page requests to put my instructions for the Monkey Wrench blocks from Little Monkey here! So I thought, why not? It is a fun traditional block and works so well with the sizes of scrap strips I already keep on hand, and that is what made it so enjoyable to dig and play with these, coming up with the craziest fabric and color combos that I could find!
